listen. i have a HUGE tolerance for the fucked up mentality/tone that came about with the help of the “dos and donts” section of vice magazine and allowed men (and women dudes) to make sweeping generalizations about the opposite (or in some cases same) sex.

but this dude is just…well i guess he’s confused. and he thinks that all girls are desperate and crazy and makes some useless allusion to how we should all have perfectly groomed pubilc areas…..which is i think what many dudes in their mid twenties (and like way into their thirties sometimes! yay!) think about girls. sometimes its because they’re ex left them for her dealer. sometimes its because she wanted to start stripping. sometimes its because he got drunk and fucked another girl and she wasnt having none of it. sometimes its because a cute bar tender shot them down. or because girls with glasses and cool haircuts never gave them the time of day.

but i feel bad for this kid. we all have our hang ups and our pre-conceived notions and our deal breakers. but this dude has so many i wonder how he is ever going to have sex again.

SCRANTON, PA—After nearly six years on the air, NBC’s hit show The Office ended abruptly Thursday when documentary filmmaker Ian Sheffield announced that he and his crew had all the footage of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company’s Scranton branch required for their project. “In retrospect, we really over-shot this thing by an enormous margin,” said Sheffield, adding that he likely had more than enough good material after filming a British workplace from 2001 to 2003. “We would have finished much earlier if one employee or another didn’t insist on being interviewed every three minutes. And I have no idea why we were invited to Jim and Pam’s wedding. All of that stuff is totally unusable.” Sheffield said that the footage will be drastically cut down and used primarily as B-roll for the planned 90-minute educational film about paper manufacture and production.

I accidentally wiped the kPod (it’s a nod to jPod, see? but with a k? because my name is Kim?); everything except the Bad Romance video is gone. I am rebuilding, but I’m bitter about it.

This doesn’t deserve a blog entry, even on tumblr. Is it the 23rd yet? I know The Fame Monster leaked but I want a hard copy. I’m gonna buy the CD, dammit*. Like it’s 1998 and I’m back at Media Play discovering Emm Gryner and Imogen Heap. ’Cause who even buys CDs anymore? No one, that’s who.

The kPod is, like, half Matthew Good anyway. I stopped pursuing new music years ago, and now I feel like a total old fart because I don’t know anything about current music unless it involves GaGa or maybe Britney but then again I don’t really like 3 anyway so there.

So if you had a itunes gift certificate and recently you’ve been obsessed with Dragonette and you spent almost all of 2009 listening to The Fame and dancing around your car like a crazy person (sometimes you listen to Regina Spektor but then you wander back to Dragonette), what would you spend it on?

So B. got some amazingly good news today, like “holy shit you must be kidding me is it celebratory martini time yet?” news and I am theoretically getting ready to go see him and commence aforementioned celebrating (I like martinis) but instead I am having a fucking crisis here. Because I have decided — melodramatically, of course — that none of my clothes fit or match or work (no, Tim Gunn, shut it, I CANNOT make it work I CANNOT) and 3/5ths of my wardrobe is on the floor or strewn over chairs and I am on my fourth outfit of the past hour and I still hate all of it. The supposedly uberprofesh tulip skirt from h&m turns out to be slightly too small, which I realize immediately after removing the tags. Thirty dollars well spent! My jeans are either too baggy or so tight they’re crotch-eaters (THAT’S COMFORTABLE AND ATTRACTIVE), everything’s shitty, I’m tired of my jewelry, oh god no one has ever suffered like this or ever will.

If I was Claudia Kishi I would just borrow a shirt from my dad and gluegun a bunch of matchbox cars to it BUT I AM NOT HER and right now I trying to calculate how much it would cost to set fire to everything and start over from scratch.

No I am not exaggerating THIS IS A REAL CRISIS.

basically kim goes ahead and re-reads my childhood for me….but funnier and smarter than i ever was or could ever hope to be. kim clearly does not have an alcohol problem is what i am getting at.

but here is what i am really getting at: i seriously read everything when i was a child. if i could reach it i was probably reading it. i read stephen king’s “the stand” when i was 9…i didnt understand it and i didnt actually finish it until i picked it up again at the tender age of 16 and it gave me nightmares both times but i got my hands on it and i read. my parents were also obsessed with the holocaust and the revolutionary war so if there was a YA book out there about those I totes read it. i was only allowed to watch an hour (ish) of tv a night and mostly my parents watched cop shows (which i still totally find boring as hell) so i was OUT. and reading bunnicula or some other shit that we got out of the dollar bin at Waldenbooks (we were poor). they were cool with pretty much anything i wanted to read.

the exception? the babysitters club books. they hated them. they would never judge me for reading but if i was reading a BSC book i always got the side-eye from them. i tried to explain that i mostly read it because i wanted to see what stacy and claudia (and sometimes surprisingly maryanne and jessi and in later volumes mallory!) were wearing. but thats the equivalent of saying you read playboy for the articles i would imagine. and my parents never bought it. i knew that the books were shitty. but the outfits! UGH they were so GREAT dudes!!

however, i recently showed them “what claudia wore” and explained that this was a THING that girls did. and they read kim’s work and every once in a while my mom will look at an outfit i have on and make a comment about how its “very claudia kishi” and i die of happiness a little inside.

It’s not an alcohol problem, it’s an alcohol solution. Think positive!
